Customised pop-up roof insulation with magnetic attachment for Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo (from 2014) as thermal and acoustic insulation, blackout and wind protection. Thanks to extra-strong magnets in the seam, the thermal mats can be attached in no time at all. Metal pads are glued to the upper aluminium frame, to which the bellows are attached, as attachment points for the magnets. This means that no holes need to be drilled or other permanent changes made to the vehicle. The self-adhesive metal pads can be removed at any time without leaving any residue.

The blackout set for the pop-up roof consists of four parts that are connected with a high-quality (durable) Velcro strip. When stowing away, the parts can remain connected or be separated, for example to achieve a particularly compact size. Two ventilation flaps are incorporated into the side magnetic thermal mats (large triangles) in the same way as the bellows, which can be opened and closed with a zip.

As the height of the pop-up roof varies slightly for each individual Marco Polo, the side sections of the insulation are manufactured with an oversize at the lower edge. The overhang is simply folded over to the inside so that there is no cold bridge in this area.

Centre: insulating sandwich material (multi-layer)

Outer: specially coated LightTex fabric, water column up to 1,000 mm, temperature-resistant

Handling

The pop-top roof insulation should be removed regularly for ventilation when the vehicle is parked in one place for long periods to prevent the build-up of moisture.

Scope of delivery

Transport

The pop-up roof insulation should not be transported on the roof bed as this can cause the pop-up roof to warp. We therefore recommend using the pack sack for the roof bed insulation.
