The WATTSTUNDE® SolarBuddy WS100SB lets you generate solar power on your travels without permanently mounting a panel on your Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo, Horizon or Activity. This folding 100-watt solar panel with a hardcover design can be positioned independently of your vehicle and charges suitable USB devices directly.
Keep your vehicle in the shade and your panel in the sun
Fold-out legs make the panel easy to set up and angle towards the sun. You can reposition it as the sun moves throughout the day. Within the reach of the 5 m connection cable, your vehicle can remain in the shade while the SolarBuddy stands in sunlight. It can also be placed behind the windscreen when the vehicle is parked.
Charge USB devices without an additional charge controller
The handle houses two USB ports rated at 5 V/2 A. With sufficient sunlight, they let you charge suitable USB devices directly, without an external battery or an additional solar charge controller. The 100 Wp rating refers to the solar panel, not the charging output of the USB ports.
Robust construction in a compact folding format
The hardcover construction combines the robustness of a solar suitcase with the portability of a folding solar panel. Its polyamide fabric is durable and water-repellent. With a weight of 3.9 kg and folded dimensions of 520 x 685 x 45 mm, the SolarBuddy can be carried to your chosen spot and folded away after use. A carry bag is included.

The monocrystalline solar cells have a cell efficiency of 18%. The stated average summer yield of 600 Wh per day is a reference figure, not a fixed daily output. The energy actually available depends on factors including sunlight, panel orientation and shading.
Water-repellent fabric still needs dry conditions
Despite its water-repellent fabric, the SolarBuddy must be protected from rain, dew and moisture. Keep water away from sensitive areas, particularly the USB ports and the space beneath their cover. Do not leave the panel outdoors overnight.
