As an optional accessory for the transport tray, we recommend Click & Slide, which prevents the bed fittings from locking into different positions. This makes it possible, for example, for the headboard to engage in the first position and then be folded down. It is no longer necessary to set up the bed completely.
Westfalia builds one of the best and most beautiful campervans on the market and hangs a wobbly bag under the bed, which contains two chairs that have neither cup holders nor other pockets. The entire storage space under the bed is practically wasted.
For this reason, we have developed an additional storage compartment in which there is enough space to safely store two of our camping chairs.
The compartment is also suitable for other camping utensils such as the Skotti barbecue, the shower, the camping & bus toilet or the Project Camper sleeping mats.
The original Crespo table can stay where it is, under the table is the storage compartment and under the storage compartment is our Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo rear pull-out. The storage compartment is perfectly matched to our rear pull-out, see photos.
Marco Polo W447 (2014 - today)
The transport tray for the Marco Polo W447 has internal dimensions of 90 cm x 55 cm (minus the small corner at the front right) and a depth of 6.3 cm. The maximum loading height under the storage compartment is 27.5 cm from the floor of the Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo. If there is no table under the bed, the loading height in the tub is approx. 11 cm.
Viano Marco Polo W639 (2004 - 2013) - with frame under the bed
The transport tray for the Viano Marco Polo W639 has internal dimensions: 88 cm wide at the rear towards the seat bench and 89 cm wide at the front towards the tailgate. A width of 56 cm and a depth of 6.5 cm. The maximum loading height under the storage compartment is 27.5 cm from the floor of the Mercedes-Benz Viano Marco Polo W639.
Material
The material of the storage compartment consists of 2mm thick sheet metal which is laser-cut, edged and then powder-coated. The storage compartment is placed from above on the frame of the unfolded bed and holds there independently, no screwing or gluing necessary.
