72 cells instead of the usual 36 cells promise yields even in unfavourable light conditions, so that MPPT charge controllers can work optimally here with their Maximum Power Point technology. Conventional solar modules only deliver a low voltage in unfavourable diffuse light conditions, which is no longer sufficient to charge the battery. By increasing the number of cells and the associated increase in voltage, it is ensured that the voltage is sufficient to capture the last rays of sunlight even in periods of low light. A further advantage: while the output remains the same, an increase in voltage results in a reduction in the current load on the cables. The high operating voltage reduces cable losses and smaller cable cross-sections can be used.

Lightweight, innovative and flexible in use

Thanks to its innovative design, the WATTSTUNDE® SunFolder solar bag is very light, absolutely space-saving and therefore offers a high degree of flexibility and usability. The solar bag scores with its ability to be freely orientated at any time. Whether behind the windscreen when parking or simply outdoors, you can place the solar bag wherever the sun shines. You are also guaranteed a high energy yield from the SunPower Back-Contact solar cells.

Robust & flexible

The robust Cordura fabric makes the SunFolder the perfect companion for outdoor use - nevertheless, as with any technical device, care should be taken to ensure that no moisture or water can reach sensitive areas. We do not recommend leaving the SunFolder outside overnight. (This is an electrical device for utilising solar energy - i.e. it does not tolerate mist and rain).

Plug & Play with practical plug-in system

The SunFolder solar bag from WATTSTUNDE® has a 5 metre long connection cable with an Anderson plug-in system at the end. Thanks to the practical plug-in system, the connection can be permanently attached to the charge controller and, if required, the solar bag can be taken out, hung or placed in the sun and the two Anderson mating connectors simply plugged together and the SunFolder is connected to the charge controller. It could hardly be quicker or more practical.

Self-sufficient with SunPower solar cells

The SunFolder solar panels in the WATTSTUNDE® series are high-quality modules with SunPower cells that deliver optimum results and ensure a high energy yield. The solar panels are suitable for all self-sufficient battery applications, e.g. in motorhomes and camper vans, camping and tents, marine sailing boats, camper vans, panel vans (including off-road vehicles such as Land Rover Defender) and in all off-grid systems.
