The Victron Blue Smart IP65 12/15 charges compatible 12 V batteries at up to 15 A through a single charging output. You can check voltage and charging current on your smartphone, keeping track of charging before your next trip or during longer periods off the road.
Check charging status and adjust settings from your phone
With Bluetooth and the VictronConnect app, you can view the status of both the charger and the battery. Voltage and current are displayed directly. Within Bluetooth range, you can also change settings and install available firmware updates without having to access the charger itself.
Match the charging profile to your battery
The charger is suitable for compatible 12 V lead-acid and 12 V LiFePO4 batteries. This does not mean it supports every battery or every lithium-ion chemistry. The charging profile, voltage and current must meet the battery manufacturer's requirements.
The adaptive, multi-stage charging algorithm adjusts the charging process to the way the battery is used. It takes the battery through testing, bulk charging and absorption, followed by float and storage charging. Reconditioning is only appropriate for lead-acid batteries that permit it. LiFePO4 batteries use a separate charging sequence with constant-current, constant-voltage and float stages.
Use a lower storage voltage during longer breaks
If the battery has not been discharged for 24 hours, the charger activates storage mode. For 12 V lead-acid batteries, the voltage is reduced to 13.2 V to limit gassing and positive plate corrosion. A weekly refresh charge helps counter electrolyte stratification and sulphation, making this mode useful when the vehicle is not being used for a while.
Limit energy losses and reduce charging current when needed
Efficiency of up to 94% limits energy losses and waste heat. Once the battery is fully charged, power consumption falls below 0.5 W.
The LOW setting allows you to reduce the charging current when the battery requires a lower current. As temperatures rise, the charger reduces its output current to protect against overheating.
A protected housing with two practical connection options
The IP65 housing protects against dust and splashes and is designed to resist chemicals. This protection rating does not permit the charger to be submerged. The battery and electrical connections also need protection appropriate to their location.
The included DC leads with crocodile clips and M8 eyelets offer two ways to connect: clips for a temporary connection or eyelets for a bolted connection. The charger has one charging output.
Check your battery specifications before using it in a Marco Polo
Suitability for your Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo W447 or Viano Marco Polo W639 depends on the installed battery and the intended connection, not simply on the vehicle model. Before connecting the charger, check:
